ADRA's World Radio
Like a glimmer of light on a hopeless dark night, Adventist Development and Relief Agency, or ADRA as it is more widely known, has been offering hope for the needy around the globe since 1956.
Today, ADRA’s work continues- even through the radio and the internet; thus, ADRA’s World Radio.
Fortunately, for JOY FM and its listeners, ADRA’s World Radio is one of the new additions to our programming for the year 2009.
According to its Website, ADRA’s World Radio “is a weekly 30-minute program featuring stories from the front lines of ADRA’s fight against poverty.”
Initiated by the Seventh-day Adventist church which seeks to identify and address social injustice and deprivation in developing countries, ADRA’s goal has always been to improve the quality of life for people around the world.
“Through humanitarian acts, ADRA makes known the just, merciful and loving character of God, believing that to work with those in need is an expression of our love for God… believing that the compassionate ministry of Jesus is its own abundant motive and reward.”
